"Hockey and Tennis are great cross-training sports. Tennis is the perfect off ice training sport for hockey players. Players run short explosive sprints working on quickness! They utilize anticipation and intelligent play to win! Balance, and hand-eye coordination skills are extremely important in both sports. Forearm-hand grip strength, leg strength, and body core strength are huge assets in competing well in both ice hockey and tennis."
"The experience I gained in teaching athletes the more intricate skills involved in tennis has helped me become a better ice hockey skills coach."
